There are the following Divisions in the SEC "Biomass":

Division of Biogas Technologies

SEC «Biomass» provides consulting services on biogas production and utilization technologies. Based on wide work experience in theoretical analysis and experimental investigation of anaerobic digestion process, research of anaerobic digestion process, and study of biogas plants operation in European Union, and experience in joint implementation of biogas plants in collaboration with Ukrainian and Western partners, SEC Biomass proposes wide service package.


Design Division

SEC "Biomass" is specialized in providing a full range of engineering services in the development of traditional engineering systems, and systems associated with the production and use of alternative energy sources.

General Bioenergy Issues Division

The Division investigates the potential of different types of biomass both for Ukraine and for individual regions, districts, and enterprises. Division' specialists are also exploring the possibilities for practical use of potential and for deployment of bioenergy technologies in Ukraine. Division keeps track of all changes in Ukraine legislation concerning bioenergy sector and its representatives take part in the preparation of proposals for existing laws improving.

Heat and Power Division

Heat and Power Division is responsible for heat and power generation from biomass. The main activities of the department is directed to consult the stakeholders on the organization of biomass production and usage, development and technical support of biomass supply (logistics), the selection of power equipment, development of efficient circuit design.


Energy Efficiency and Kyoto Protocol Mechanisms Division

SEC "Biomass" gives clients consulting services to the projects implemented by the Kyoto mechanisms - Joint Implementation (JI), Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Green Investment Scheme (GIS). The goal of these projects is to attract additional funding for the implementation of measures to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions by companies, including energy efficiency measures, the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources (RES) and so on.
